Phone?

Ya, that's a hot commodity. And the answer is no, I do not have a phone yet. And honestly, I couldn't care less about getting a phone. It's kind of nice not having one, actually. But there are a lot of phone numbers lost. That's a pain, but there is email and there is blogging.... and there are ways to reach me.

But I do have a car that runs now! And now that gas is hovering around $3.20 a gallon, I'm wondering why I fixed the stupid thing in the first place? Such is life.

I think my shrink had a field day with me last night. I went off for quite some time about our little situation in the south (I have a refugee in my class - he enrolled yesterday)... and the fact that I'm torn that I feel ashamed about my country and my people and my government but at the same time I have to teach citizenship and all that shit. At least I can say that I teach the truth - and I try my HARDEST not to interject my personal opinions and beliefs.

And then of course I started talking about the drama on the homefront. Monday and yesterday were quiet - I guess Sunday morning was enough for her. It's a little nervewracking that she has so little (ahem... no) control over her impulses and she knows where I live. Yikes. But I made it pretty clear to her later (in a letter) that if she feels a need to talk with me for whatever reason there are better ways to contact me. AND that I have no interest in getting in the middle of the messy situation at hand.
