Weekend in Miami!

Let me first make a disclaimer. I am very frustrated with blogger's photo upload and editing features. This entry might look funny. Bear with me.

Here I am at the Atlantic Ocean (my profile pic was taken on the other coast)...
This might be the best way to spend a Monday morning before breakfast. Honestly, the boy and I woke up before 8:00 and walked down to the beach! Nobody was out there, and it was such a pretty morning.

I think I need to start a collection of pictures of me at the ocean. I just love it.

(And I think I should wear the same skirt every time I visit the ocean!)

The boy is cute too, isn't he!

He was too scared to get his feet wet.

Tropical upbringing. Apparently the Florida ocean is too cold for him... even AFTER visiting Kennebunkport, ME in May! On that day he was amazed to be bundled up on the beach...

Say hello to Mr. Clucky! Yes, he is a rooster riding a bike. I was so excited to see a rooster on a bike that I had to stop his friend for a picture! Beautiful bird.
And apparently he's very famous. He even has a myspace account and his very own website. I might have to add him as a friend on MySpace.

Here is a picture of me with the bird too. You can tell just how excited I was! I think I might even be jumping up and down. I was making a rooster noise, that's why my mouth is wide open.

Oh, and that's the boy standing next to me. He thought the whole rooster thing was a little strange. He didn't even want to be in the picture!

I had a good time. There was more to the trip than the ocean and Mr. Clucky, but those were the fun parts.

We hung out with Leonard's nieces and I got to practice my very irrelevant Spanish. And two-year-olds understand me! Now if I could only understand their gibberish. But their English is so cute... with a little Spanish accent singing Patty Cake.

I ate a lot too. And Grampy even came down to meet us for lunch yesterday! I have a picture of him too...

Doesn't he just look like a retiree who belongs in Florida in the winter?

Hee hee - I got him looking through a Jackalope book. (For anyone who's ever visited his house in Maine, you might understand why I needed this picture of him!)

This morning sucked. I had to go back to school.
