busy busy busy

Actually, this is my first 'true' 3-day weekend in forever. Friday was my last night at the banana... I had to kiss my discount goodbye. I spent Saturday in the mountains firing Raku pieces (they came out awesome!) Now I have some of my very own art to decorate the new place with.

Speaking of the new place, we hit another glitch. And this one is a biggie in that it takes a few weeks to fix. So basically our closing is pushed out another 3 weeks and the mortgage broker better get his ass moving so we actually get the place. It's back on active listing and we have first right of refusal if another offer comes in but then we risk our deposit money which I'm not willing to do because I don't trust our mortgage guy... so it's all up in the air. So far, nobody has put in an offer but still I'm tempted to go spray-paint the place so nobody will!

I'm in the process of moving out of my classroom and the apartment is a NIGHTMARE! And mother comes to town next Saturday. She'll probably flip out but hey, this is what it's like living in limbo. I'm still going to bring her to the new place that might not be ours but I figure if it is at least she'll have been a part of it.

This is the last week of school! (yay!) Trying to get hired for summer school, which starts June 5th and pays really well. 5 days a week, 8-noon, and it's over on July 3rd. (We fly east on July 4th). Otherwise I don't know what I'll do with myself for a month! Spend money, probably - which would be VERY smart.
