Signs of summer.

So I got my first bugbite of the summer the other day.... the little bastard bit me right on the side of my knuckle.

Yup.

That's the excitement for today.



Oh, and tonight I had dinner with a friend I hadn't seen in almost a year. Literally, we've been playing phone tag - but we've both admittedly been hermits - and finally we got together. I found out last week through the grapevine that she is pregnant and so figured we'd better make it happen before life becomes really crazy for her... I hate how time just goes. It's like you intend to write/call/visit... and the next thing you know six months have gone by. And your friend you haven't seen in a year is 5 months pregnant and having a little boy!

Anyways, I'm really happy tonight. She was going down a bad road - working in a bar, partying way too much, doing unhealthy things to her body... and not really content with life. Now she's clear of that lifestyle and enjoying life itself a lot more - and she is truly happy and excited about what's coming. She is glowing in that peaceful way that pregnant women do.

I love it.
