I quit!

I put in my notice at Banana! (finally!) It was relieving and sad at the same time. My manager responded by handing my 3 year pin - 3 years of service for GAP, Inc. I told her I'll rock that pin for the next two weeks. And really, I enjoy that job; I just don't need it anymore and I think my priorities have changed. I'd rather be making pretty things at the pottery studio and cooking dinners and sometimes doing nothing at all. It will be the first time in... (a very long time) that I haven't held 2 jobs!

Condo contract is coming along. There have been a couple of glitches, but from what I hear that's pretty normal. We pushed out our closing date a week, which is fine with me because that means 7 days less interest we'll have to pay at closing. And still we'll have a week to move.

It's a really strange feeling - everything is changing, but for the good. Things with the boy are better than ever... he still drives me crazy but I think that's a good thing because it keeps me on my toes. We are going to be homeowners - yup, going in on this together ... I'm dropping down to one job and changing schools. Best part: direct bus route from my new condo. I walk half a block, get on the bus... and get off across the street from work. I will never have to shovel myself out again at 6:30 in the morning! Woohoo! Aside from my alarm clock, digging out my car is the one thing that ruins my day. OK, waking up when it is still dark outside ruins my day too... but it's just not natural. Nobody should have to wake up before the sun. I don't know how you parents of little ones do it!

Also, the boy just started working at West Elm (owned by Williams-Sonoma/Pottery Barn people) so we have a sweet discount at all three stores... we've already picked out bedroom furniture. My mother is coming out the first week of June and I'm going to have her pick out paint colors because she is really good at that and I've never done it before. Yay!

Oh, and we'll be in MA from July 4 until the 12th. And then Venezuela from the 12th until the 26th.
Life is good. :)

Of course your welcome to come up here too, if you'd like to hit a few more states on your trip!
