Out like a lamb?

Can you believe it's going to be April this week?

Depressingly, my Spring Break is over. I have to go back to school tomorrow, and today I am sick. It started yesterday morning and just my ear hurt. I thought it was because of the loud music Friday night, but then it didn't go away. Today I woke up with a sore throat and swallowing was/is not an option. It looks really pretty, too. White spots and everything. Went to Urgent Care and they were shocked that I don't have strep so they prescribed me some antibiotics anyway. They said to take them if I start running a fever. Yuck. At least they gave me something to take away the inflammation, so it feels a little better. So today I am reading, shopping online, and doing laundry.

I shouldn't complain though because I had a great week - lots of skiing, a little pottery, and a few night clubs. I spent a lot of time with the boy, which was nice. I think he is finally on his way to flight school (after 10 years of waiting)! This week we took care of all of the FAA and FBI clearance stuff, which is magnified for him because he is an immigrant. Plus he had to wait until he had all of his paperwork from NIS (our lovely government's immigration agency) and his renewed passport from home - their government has more red tape than ours, if that is possible. Now we just have to wait for a response from Sallie Mae. Keep your fingers crossed!

For my birthday I had what might be the perfect day for me. Woke up, went out for breakfast - really brunch by the time we got out of the house. Friends stopped by in the morning and we hung out for a while before they left and we went for food. Anyways - spent a little while on the kickwheel... napped, got a pedicure with the boy - you read that correctly, browsed shelves at the bookstore and even bought a book, rented a movie (he watched, I slept). Low key and fantastic. The next day we went skiing with friends and I got my brownie sundae at dinner that night. YUM.

oh, Happy Birthday Lauren.

I want you to know that the paper cranes you sent in honor of Tigger a year ago are hanging in Allie's room.

Great blog.

Love,
